About Me
I have been an educator for 15 years. For the last 7 years, I taught English as a Second Language as well as students with special needs at Clear Creek Elementary in Hendersonville, NC. However, for the upcoming 25-26 school year, I will be teaching at the Career Academy at our Innovative High School.

I always want my multilingual students to know that their linguistic skills are an asset for our community and our country's global success.

I have been interested in traveling and learning about different languages and cultures for many years.
​
In college, I studied a semester in Seville, Spain.
​
I married in Czechia and visit my in-laws there frequently.
​
Raised my children in Rheine, Germany for three years.
​
As a parent who has lived abroad, I feel empathy and a connection to newcomer parents in the US who are navigating a new country, a foreign language, different school structure, and community resources.

I am honored to be apart of the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms 2024-2025 cohort traveling to Peru. l am looking forward to comparing our educational systems and to build global relationships.
